An independent desk for UK betting comparison
We started Royal Odds Desk for a simple reason: comparing betting sites usually means wading through marketing pages that all sound the same. We wanted somewhere that reads the terms, says what each product is good and bad at, and is honest about how it pays the bills.
In plain terms: Royal Odds Desk is an independent comparison and review platform. We are not a bookmaker, sportsbook or gambling operator. We do not accept bets, set odds, take deposits, manage accounts or settle wagers. We are not owned by the betting brands we review and we are not an official regulator.
What we actually do
We profile a small, deliberately short list of UK-facing betting products and compare them against a fixed set of checks. Each operator gets a written review and an editorial score, so you can weigh markets, pricing, mobile handling and the small print in one place before deciding where, or whether, to play.
Keeping the list short is a choice. It means every product on the desk gets a proper look rather than a one-line entry in an endless table, and it keeps the comparison something a person can actually read.
How affiliate funding works
The site is free to use, and it is funded mainly through affiliate links. Some of the outbound links to operators carry tracking parameters. If you follow one and go on to register or place a bet, the operator may pay us a commission. That happens at no extra cost to you, and your odds or terms are exactly the same as if you had arrived directly.
Crucially, that commission does not buy a higher score or a better position in our comparison. We explain this in full on our affiliate disclosure page, and the way we reach a score is set out in our editorial review policy.
What our scores are — and are not
Scores are editorial comparison ratings out of five. They reflect our considered opinion after applying the same checks to every product. They are not official ratings, they are not endorsed by any regulator, and they are never a promise of value, winnings, payouts or outcomes.
